Homework: Approximately 45 minutes per day
Cost: $150/semester
Supply fee: $54 (includes both workbooks)

SCIENCE DISCOVERY
5th-6th grades
Science Discovery is a class aimed towards students in 5th & 6th grade. Class will meet once a week. Students should plan an additional (approximately) 40-60 mins of work into their weekly schedule for homework, reading and projects. This class strives to be packed with information and activities because science is so much fun and best learned with “doing”! As we learn about each topic, activities, demonstrations, experiments and games will help students master the concepts in a playful manner. It’s all about uncovering the amazing Universe that God created! The foundation of each semester will be based on The Good and The Beautiful science units plus additional resources. Each semester a different unit will be offered in a rotating sequence so that a student could take this class for two years without duplicating material.
Parents can expect weekly emails with a recap of what was covered, the homework for the week as well as additional(optional) videos for the students (and family) to enjoy. There are three picture books and a chapter book that will be sent home with students over the course of the semester. As always, accommodations are happily made to suit each learner. My goal is to foster a love of science (which is the study of God’s creation)!
This class is different from regular C4 classes. Payment is made one time for the whole semester. No need to commit for the whole year.
